The alternative universe in question is now featuring in My Novel (work in progress...) The background to this is that I was having a series of dreams that followed on from one another in which me and my friends were travelling around Europe in a couple of vans called Flotsam and Jetsam. The plot of the dreams got so involved that I was eventually persuaded to start writing them down. The novel to date runs to over 100 000 words written over six or so months. For a while I was doing very little else, but now I'm giving it a rest for a bit...
